This is YOUR chance to be a robotic Roman emperor and help decide which of the galvanised gladiators will live to fight another day and which will be condemned to the arena's gruesome pit. Last year over 1,000 people applied for a place on Series 4 of Robot Wars, but only 320 made it through to the first round. Robot Wars Live will also provide the testing ground for some of the brave new roboteers keen to test the mettle of their machines.
The robots will take up residency at the Telewest Arena Newcastle on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August 2001. Released from the confines of their Corner Patrol Zones, the house robots will be flexing their muscles in ways never seen on TV - if you want to find out what Matilda can really do with her chainsaw tail then this is the place to be! Lock up your garages and small electrical appliances - the Robots are coming to town! From Wednesday 18th July Sir Killalor, Matilda, Dead Metal and the rest of the mechanical stars of BBC's hit show Robot Wars will be storming the UK on their first ever live tour.
